Rita at Alton Towers is a launched coaster that opened in 2005 in the Dark Forest area, with a 0-to-62 mph hydraulic launch in 2.5 seconds at the start of the ride. The track is short - the whole experience is under 30 seconds from launch to brake - but the launch itself remains one of the strongest in the UK. Layout is a simple out-and-back with airtime hills rather than inversions.

Because it is short, Rita's hourly throughput is high and queues rarely exceed 30 minutes outside of peak weekends. It pairs well with Th13teen next door for a quick double-ride morning.
