A small separate water park (Bellewaerde Aquapark) operates next door in summer.

Weekday visits in May, June and September are usually very pleasant, with short queue times across the park. Bobbejaanland

Bobbejaanland is one of Belgium's oldest theme parks, founded in 1961 in Lichtaart by country singer Bobbejaan Schoepen. The park sits in a wooded Kempen landscape and runs a mix of older classics and modern coasters: Typhoon (a compact Gerstlauer Eurofighter), Fury (a launched Gerstlauer Infinity), Sledge Hammer, and a selection of family and dark rides.

Belgian school holidays drive most of Bobbejaanland's crowd peaks, with the Halloween event at the end of October particularly busy. Weekday visits in May, June and September can feel almost empty.
