Your data
Delete your Park Queue Times account
You can ask us to delete your Park Queue Times account and the personal data attached to it at any time, whether you signed up on the website or through the Android app. Here is exactly how to do it, and what happens afterwards.
How to request deletion
There are two ways to ask. Both reach the same place and both work from the app or a browser.
- From your account settings. Sign in, open account settings, and use the account deletion option. This is the quickest route because we can already see which account the request belongs to.
- By email. Send a message to [email protected] from the email address on the account, with the words "delete my account" in the subject. Use this if you can no longer sign in.
For your security, deletions are checked by a person before anything is erased, so that nobody else can close your account. We may reply once to confirm the request came from you. You do not need a Plus subscription, and you do not need to pay anything, to have your account deleted.
What gets deleted
When your request is processed we permanently erase the personal data held against your account:
- Your email address, display name and password
- Any Google or Apple sign-in link on the account
- Your favourite parks and rides
- Your ride alerts and their delivery settings
- Your saved plans, coaster counts and public profile, if you made one
- Your activity history, which is the record of how you used the site while signed in
- Any API keys issued to you
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of information outlives the account, for the reasons below:
- Anonymous usage totals. Counts such as "how many people viewed this park page today" carry no identifier of any kind and cannot be traced back to you. These are kept indefinitely.
- Billing records. If you subscribed to Plus, our payment provider Stripe keeps the invoice records it is legally required to hold for tax and accounting purposes. We keep no card details at any point.
- Anything we must keep by law. Where a legal or regulatory obligation requires us to retain a record, we keep only that record and only for as long as the obligation lasts.
Everything else is gone within 30 days of the request. Account-linked usage records are removed immediately when the account is deleted, and in the ordinary course they are deleted after 45 days anyway.
Deleting some data without closing your account
You do not have to delete the whole account to remove things. You can delete individual alerts, favourites and saved plans from your dashboard at any time, and you can turn off a public profile without losing the account. If you want a specific set of data removed but want to keep using Park Queue Times, email [email protected] and tell us what to remove.
Your other rights
Under UK GDPR you can also ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected, or object to how we use it. Those requests go to the same address, and we respond within one month. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
You can use almost all of Park Queue Times without an account at all. Live queue times, crowd calendars, ride pages and opening hours are open to everyone.
