What are queue times?

Queue times - also called wait times or ride times - are how long you'll spend waiting in line for a ride at a theme park, shown in minutes. A queue time of 30 means roughly 30 minutes from joining the back of the line to being seated on the ride.

Every park shows its own queue times on signs by each ride and in their mobile app. Park Queue Times collects that same data for 88+ parks and puts it all in one place, so you can compare rides, see history, and plan the shortest possible visit.

How live queue times work

Theme parks measure queue times in one of two ways: physical sensors that count people entering and leaving the queue, or a staff member with a "time card" that follows a guest from the back of the line to the ride and reports the actual walk-through time. Parks then post those times to their own system.

We fetch those live values every few minutes and display them here alongside the historical average for that time of day, so you can tell whether a queue is actually busy or just a normal mid-afternoon peak.

Questions about queue times

Everything you need to know about checking live ride wait times and planning your park visit.

What are queue times?

Queue times are how long you wait in line for a ride at a theme park, usually measured in minutes. Park Queue Times tracks live queue times for every ride at 88+ parks, updated every few minutes so you always know which rides are busy and which are walk-ons.

How do you get live queue times?

We pull live wait times directly from each park's own ride system (the same data shown on their official app and in-park signs), then surface it in one place with history, crowd calendars, and ride-by-ride statistics.

Which theme parks have live queue times on this site?

We cover 88+ major theme parks including Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Paultons Park, Chessington, LEGOLAND Windsor, Europa-Park, PortAventura, Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and many more across Europe and worldwide. Browse the full parks list.

How accurate are theme park queue times?

Queue times come straight from each park's operational system, so they match what you'd see inside the park. That said, posted wait times can sometimes run 5–15% over the actual walk time - parks tend to over-estimate slightly to avoid disappointing guests.

How often are wait times updated?

Most parks update their queue times every 3 to 10 minutes. Our site refreshes automatically as soon as new data is available, so the numbers you see are always the latest from the park.

What is a crowd calendar?

A crowd calendar predicts how busy a park will be on any given day, based on historical queue data, school holidays, weather and opening hours. Use it to pick the quietest day to visit and avoid peak crowds.

Is Park Queue Times free?

Yes - live queue times, crowd calendars and historical data are all completely free, no account needed. We also offer a Pro plan for power users who want ride alerts, advanced statistics and an ad-free experience.
