Chimelong Paradise
Chimelong Paradise in Guangzhou's Panyu district is the theme park at the heart of the Chimelong resort, which also includes a safari park, a water park and a circus. It is one of the largest thrill parks in mainland China, with launched, rocket and family coasters, a giant frisbee, a drop tower, a super rapids ride and a 4D cinema. Ride names here are shown in Chinese as the park publishes them.
Guangzhou's climate means the park runs year round, and it is at its fullest during the October Golden Week, the Lunar New Year and the summer school holiday. Check the live queue times on the day and use the crowd calendar to find a quieter date, which is often a weekday outside those windows.

Shanghai Disneyland opened in 2016 in Pudong and is the largest Disney castle park by land area, with the Enchanted Storybook Castle at its centre and TRON Lightcycle Power Run, Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure and Roaring Rapids as its headline rides. The Zootopia land opened in 2023 with Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Soaring Over the Horizon remain reliable favourites.
Crowd levels here follow the Chinese public holiday calendar rather than western school terms, so Golden Week in early October and the Lunar New Year period are the days to avoid if you can.
