About each park

Efteling

Efteling is the Netherlands' largest theme park, sitting in Kaatsheuvel in North Brabant. It has been running since 1952 and is known for its fairy-tale theming and meticulous craftsmanship - highlights include Baron 1898 (a dive coaster), Python, Joris en de Draak (duelling wooden coasters), the Fata Morgana dark ride, and the iconic Sprookjesbos fairy-tale forest. The full resort includes hotels, a holiday village and a large lake.

Efteling is busy throughout Dutch and Belgian school holidays, with summer and the winter Efteling Winter Efteling event drawing particularly heavy crowds. Quiet weekdays in January, March and September are excellent for short queue times. Check live wait times when you arrive, and use our crowd calendar to pick a date that works around Dutch and Belgian holidays.

Toverland

Toverland is a Dutch theme park in Sevenum, Limburg, that has grown from an indoor playground (opened 2001) into one of the Netherlands' largest theme parks. Headline rides include Troy (one of Europe's longest wooden coasters), Fenix (a wing coaster), Merlin's Quest family coaster, and the newer Avalon area. The park retains large covered areas - handy in Dutch weather.

Toverland is usually quieter than Walibi Holland, but Dutch and German school holidays drive predictable peaks, especially during the summer and the Halloween Magic Mirror event. Check live queue times for Fenix and Troy before committing, and use our crowd calendar to pick a lower-crowd midweek visit. Morning arrivals typically walk onto most rides before 11am.
