Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland in Urayasu, just east of Tokyo, opened in 1983 as the first Disney park outside the United States and is run by the Oriental Land Company rather than Disney itself. It follows the classic castle-park layout with Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean, but is best known for the rides that only exist here: Pooh's Hunny Hunt, Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! and the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast in the Fantasyland expansion.

It is one of the most visited theme parks in the world, and queue times for the Fantasyland rides can run past two hours on a normal day.
