Two parks, one set of measures.
- 01Average wait
- Every ride that posted a standby wait, averaged. Rides that never opened are left out, so a park is not flattered by counting its shut rides as a zero-minute queue.
- 02Rides running
- How many rides were actually operating, against how many we track there. Two parks can post the same average wait while one of them is running half its line-up.
- 03Peak and quietest hour
- The longest single queue of the day and the hour the park was calmest. The gap between them is what a well-timed visit is worth.
- 04Busiest ride
- The one ride carrying the longest queue. It is usually the newest coaster, and it is the ride to do first or last.
- 05Yesterday, not right now
- A finished day is the fairer comparison: live queues swing on one breakdown. Switch to live when both parks are open and you are deciding where to drive.

How does the theme park comparison tool work?
Pick 2-3 parks from the selectors above. We fetch each park's data - live queue times, historical crowd levels, ride counts, opening hours, busiest rides - and display them side by side. Toggle between live data (right now) or historical (yesterday or any past date) to see how the parks compare in different conditions.
Which theme parks can I compare?
All 80+ parks we track, including UK parks (Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington, LEGOLAND Windsor, Paultons Park), European parks (Europa-Park, Phantasialand, Disneyland Paris, Efteling), and US parks (Disney, Universal, Six Flags, Cedar Fair chains).
What's the difference between live and historical comparison?
Live data shows queue times right now and keeps refreshing while the page is open - useful if both parks are currently open and you want to pick where to head. Historical data (yesterday or a specific date) gives a more stable comparison because current queues can spike on specific attractions. For trip planning, historical is usually more reliable.
Does comparing parks tell me which one to visit?
Each static comparison page (linked above) has a recommendation section with pros and cons for each park. Generally: pick the park with more rides open and shorter average waits today if you want to maximise riding; pick on theme and nostalgia if you're splitting a trip across both.
Can I compare 3 parks at once?
Yes - click "Add a third park" to enable a third selector. Useful for multi-day trip planning (e.g. Thorpe Park vs Alton Towers vs Chessington for a UK week).
Is the comparison tool free?
