About Maverick

Maverick at Cedar Point is an Intamin LSM-launched coaster opened in 2007, with a beyond-vertical 95-degree first drop and a launched 70 mph mid-course element. Two LSM launches, four inversions and constant unbanked turns make it one of the most aggressive coasters at the park despite a relatively low height of 105 feet. Ride duration around 2.5 minutes.

Maverick consistently has one of the longest queues at Cedar Point - 60-120 minutes on busy summer days is normal. Single-rider line saves significant time. The intense lateral forces and over-the-shoulder restraints can cause head-banging issues for taller riders, especially in the back rows.
