A queue-first plan for one day at Disneyland Paris

A ride order for a one-park or two-park day at Disneyland Paris, built from recorded queue times: what to ride first, and what to leave until the last hour.

Start in Walt Disney Studios Park if you have a two-park ticket, ride Tower of Terror and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force in the first hour, cross to Disneyland Park before Big Thunder Mountain hits its noon peak, and leave Crush's Coaster and Ratatouille for the final hour, when our readings put their queues at less than half their morning length. That is the whole plan. The rest of this page is the data behind it, and what to change if you only have one park.

Every figure here comes from the Disneyland Paris queue times page and its ride pages, which read the park's own live feed every few minutes. Both parks sit under that one page, 42 rides in all.

How the day moves at Disneyland Paris

Across the last 51 operating days the park-wide average queue is 24 minutes at 10am, peaks at 31 minutes around 12pm, then slides slowly: 28 minutes at 3pm, 25 at 6pm, 23 at 7pm and 17 at 9pm. Walking in at opening rather than at the peak is worth about 7 minutes on every queue you join; the last two hours are worth more. The best time to visit page has the full curve.

The two parks do not peak together. The Studios rides we track, Crush's Coaster, Ratatouille, Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Tower of Terror, all hit their worst hour at 11am. The Disneyland Park coasters, Big Thunder Mountain and Hyperspace Mountain, peak at noon, and the big dark rides peak later still: Pirates of the Caribbean at 1pm, Phantom Manor at 3pm. So the Studios is where the morning matters, and Disneyland Park is where the evening matters.

Hours, as published by the park: most dates over the next two months open at 9:30am, weekdays mostly close at 9pm, and most weekends run to 10pm. Check your date on the opening times page; the same weekday varies from week to week.

Headline rides and their quietest hours

Typical waits are each ride's own average across its recorded readings. Peak and quietest hours are from the last 28 days, in park time.

Ride Park Typical wait Peak hour Quietest hour
Crush's Coaster Studios 77 min 11am, 89 min 9pm, 40 min
Big Thunder Mountain Disneyland Park 57 min 12pm, 65 min 9pm, 28 min
Peter Pan's Flight Disneyland Park 56 min 1pm, 66 min 9pm, 23 min
Ratatouille Studios 54 min 11am, 69 min 9pm, 19 min
Tower of Terror Studios 31 min 11am, 44 min 9pm, 16 min
Hyperspace Mountain Disneyland Park 28 min 12pm, 37 min 9pm, 14 min
Avengers Assemble: Flight Force Studios 22 min 11am, 32 min 9pm, 10 min
Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland Park 18 min 1pm, 29 min 9am, 7 min
Phantom Manor Disneyland Park 13 min 3pm, 21 min 9am, 5 min

Two things stand out. Crush's Coaster has no quiet morning: its 9am hour reads 86 minutes, only 3 under its 11am peak. Heading straight for it at opening is the most repeated Disneyland Paris advice there is, and the readings say it barely works. Second, Phantom Manor and Pirates are near walk-ons at 9am, 5 and 7 minutes, but neither deserves a first-hour slot because neither ever gets truly bad. Phantom Manor's longest recorded queue is 35 minutes.

One-park day plans

Disneyland Park only

  • At opening: Big Thunder Mountain. Its 9am hour reads 48 minutes against 65 at noon, and it is the one Disneyland Park ride that queues heavily at every hour. Get it done while the gap exists.
  • Then Hyperspace Mountain. 20 minutes at 9am, 29 by 10am, 37 at noon. It is fully indoors, so it runs in weather that shuts other rides.
  • Late morning: Peter Pan's Flight, if it is running. Check the live board before you cross Fantasyland for it. It ran 74.8% of opening hours across the last 51 days, was down at some point on 36 of them, and at the time of writing had been shut for most of the previous two weeks. When open it peaks at 66 minutes at 1pm.
  • Midday to 4pm. The big two are at their worst now, so this is the window for Pirates (29 minutes at 1pm), Phantom Manor (21 at 3pm), the Fantasyland dark rides and lunch. Do not plan around the railroad: the Discoveryland station ran 5% of opening hours in the same window.
  • 7pm onwards. Big Thunder drops to 50 minutes at 7pm, 42 at 8pm and 28 at 9pm; Hyperspace is 14 at 9pm. Re-rides live here.

Walt Disney Studios Park only

  • At opening: Tower of Terror, then Avengers Assemble: Flight Force. Tower reads 22 minutes at 9am and 44 at 11am; Avengers 14 and 32. Both double inside two hours, so they are the real opening targets.
  • Then Ratatouille by 10am. It reads 44 minutes at 9am, 56 at 10am and 69 at 11am.
  • Do not start with Crush's Coaster. Its readings sit between 75 and 89 minutes from 9am until 7pm. The only relief is 8pm at 66 minutes and 9pm at 40, so it goes in the final hour.
  • Middle of the day. The park page lists Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure at about 51 minutes, Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop 46, RC Racer 43, Frozen Ever After 65 and Cars ROAD TRIP 14. Take whichever the live board shows lowest when you are near it.
  • Last two hours. Crush's Coaster, then Ratatouille (38 minutes at 8pm, 19 at 9pm), then a last Tower of Terror at 16.

The two-park day

Start in the Studios. Its headline rides peak at 11am and are cheapest in the first hour, while the Disneyland Park coasters peak an hour later and have strong evenings. The other way round, you arrive at the Studios as everything there hits its peak.

  • First hour, Studios: Tower of Terror, Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, then Ratatouille before 10:30am.
  • Late morning, Disneyland Park: Big Thunder will already be reading 59 to 65 minutes, so it moves to the evening. Take Hyperspace Mountain at 11am (29 minutes) before its noon peak, then Pirates (23 at 11am) and Phantom Manor (16).
  • Afternoon: Fantasyland, the parade, and the park page's mid-table rides such as Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast (about 39 minutes) and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril (about 18).
  • 7pm onwards: Big Thunder at 50, then 42, then 28 minutes in the last hour.
  • The final decision: the night-time show at the castle, or the walk back to the Studios for Crush's Coaster in its 40-minute hour. On a 9pm close they share the hour, so you get one.

A free queue alert fires once when a ride drops under your threshold, enough to time the walk back for Crush's. Park Queue Times Plus alerts repeat, and can also tell you when Premier Access goes on sale.

Extra Magic Time, Premier Access and single rider

Guests staying in Disney hotels can enter the parks before the general opening; the park calls this Extra Magic Time. We do not record how long the window is on a given date. The opening times page shows an early-entry window only when the park publishes one, so confirm the details on the official Disneyland Paris site. If you have it, spend it on whichever headline rides are running: the first public hour is already 44 minutes at Ratatouille and 48 at Big Thunder, so a head start is worth more here than at most parks.

Premier Access is the park's paid per-ride queue skip, bought through its own app. The ride pages for Big Thunder Mountain, Hyperspace Mountain, Ratatouille and Tower of Terror note that it is offered. This site records when Premier Access goes on sale for a ride and the return windows it offers; we do not publish prices. If you only buy one, the readings point at Crush's Coaster when it is offered, because its queue never drops under 40 minutes in any hour, whereas every other headline ride has a cheap hour you can walk into for free.

The Crush's Coaster page notes a single-rider line when it is open and calls it a big saver. Our single-rider list is kept deliberately conservative and does not yet carry Disneyland Paris entries, so treat it as a bonus rather than something to plan around.

The afternoon lull, the closing show and breakdowns

The afternoon parade runs through Disneyland Park, and the usual theory is that queues drop while it does. The park-wide readings show a flattening, not a collapse: 31 minutes at noon, 29 at 2pm, 28 at 3pm and 4pm. Phantom Manor actually peaks at 3pm. Use the parade hour for a ride you are already next to; the lull that matters starts at 7pm.

Every headline ride's cheapest hour is 9pm. The catch is on the reliability page: 328 of the 1,498 recorded breakdowns in the window started in the 9pm hour. So ride the one you most want before 8pm, and keep the final hour for re-rides and the one gamble, Crush's Coaster.

Overall, 41 tracked rides ran 79.9% of opening hours from 13 July to 10 September, which the site rates as patchy, but the bottom of the table is the railroad stations, Main Street Vehicles and PhilharMagic. The headline rides do better: Tower of Terror 98.8%, Pirates 97.4%, Hyperspace Mountain 96.4%, Phantom Manor 95.8%, Ratatouille 94.1%, Crush's Coaster 89.4%. Big Thunder is the exception at 79.1%, down at some point on 40 of 51 days: one more reason to ride it early rather than hope it is running at 8pm.

Questions people ask

Is Crush's Coaster worth heading to at opening?

Not on the readings. Its 9am hour averages 86 minutes and its 11am peak is 89, so the opening rush buys almost nothing. Its cheap hours are 8pm (66 minutes) and 9pm (40). Ride Tower of Terror and Avengers first, and come back for Crush's at the end.

Which park should I start in on a two-park day?

Walt Disney Studios Park. Its headline rides are at their lowest in the first hour and peak at 11am, while Big Thunder Mountain and Hyperspace Mountain peak at noon and fall away sharply after 7pm. Studios first, Disneyland Park for the evening.

When are queues shortest at Disneyland Paris?

The park-wide average runs from 24 minutes at 10am to 31 at noon, then eases to 17 by 9pm, with most queues easing around 7pm. The last two hours are the best of the day on every headline ride; the 9pm breakdown cluster is the one risk.

What is the quietest time of year to go?

November averages a 71% crowd level and June 81%, with Friday the calmest day at 74% against 79% on Saturday. The park has published a Halloween Festival from 26 September to 1 November 2026 and Enchanted Christmas from 7 November 2026 to 6 January 2027; event nights run busy.
